  • The management doesn't seem to take any effort to maintain order at the temple and even cleanliness is not taken care of.. queues are not organised.. fans don't work.. It would be much appreciated if the funds were more fairly used for the sake of the temple rather than personal profit.

  • If you can manage time, you should visit this. Holy place for local Hindus. Since this is a temple where main Prasad is wine, you may face some drunk people! Average time to explore : 30 minutes. Kal Bhairav Temple (where Karon is the main Prasad), Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India. One of Hinduism’s seven sacred cities, Ujjain boasts a wealth of cultural heritage, largely in the form of temples. Situated on the banks of the Shipra River, the city dates back to 600 BC and was once the residence of Ashoka. It was also the political and commercial hub of central India and the capital of the ancient Avanti Kingdom. Ujjain’s spiritual charm is undeniable. The famous poet, Kalidas, described it as ‘The town fallen from Heaven to bring Heaven to Earth’. The many temples give you glimpses of a glorious past.
