Hohle Fels is known for its archaeological importance. The cave is where musical instruments along with other artifacts were discovered which belong to the Upper Paleolithic times. The cave also bore the earliest record of sculpture art. The flutes found here date back to 35,000 years ago!
The caves are best known for preserving Ice-Age art- artifacts made form Mammoth Teeth which are showcased in the Ulm Museum. The caves itself consist of a 15 meter long tunnel- a thrill to walk through it!
Quirky fact- the world’s oldest Dildo (28,000 years old) was discovered here!
