Tierra Del Fuego National Park, Ushuaia Reviews
Its a nice national park, certainly not the best one we've been to in Patagonia. Actually probably the least interesting or impressive one we have visited but because of its location, makes you want to visit it. The entrance fee of 350 pesos per person is a bit steep and it's hard to see where that money is going? Doesn't appear to be put back in to the park at all, the roads are basic and rough, few parking areas and no facilities to maintain. Its always nice to get out in to the natural environment and see the scenery, the trails are often difficult to identify from the road but once on them the guidance is fine. Its nice here but nothing amazing with it being in Patagonia, the other national parks are beautiful and impressive!
We went in the fall and it was increadible. The changing colours of the forest in combination with the beautiful lakes and stunning mountains made for a memorable trip. You can hike all the trails in about 2 days, they're easy and relatively flat. I felt much more like I was having a lovely walk in nature rather than like I was doing serious hiking.
The park is situated in the most south westerly corner of Argentina. It's a great place to view wonderful scenery, and watch many types of local animals and sea birds.including sea lions and penguins. Either go trekking in this unique part of the world or for my money take a boat and get up close to the flora and fauna.
Absolutely stunning. A few walks to choose from (or you can do them all in one day), each one offers beautiful views (although different on each one). Access to the park by car or shuttle bus from Ushuaia. Visitors centre with a gift shop, restaurants and toilets. Gets busy at times, but only within 500 metres from the nearest bus stop/parking.
Fantastic park for solitude camping. Plenty of space even in peak season. The presence of wild horses wandering around did add to the magic of the place
