City Of The Arts And Sciences - Review

This freaky place puts Valencia on the map. Eye catching and brilliantly detailed, the complex is possibly Valencia’s most popular destination. There are five main buildings: the Opera House, the Imax Theatre, the Science Museum, the Agora (sports venue), and the Oceanographic (Europe’s largest aquarium). Even if you don’t visit every building here, it’s a good place to just walk about and take in the sheer sci-fi awesomeness of the place.

  • This place is beautiful beyond reason. Be prepared for a long walk because you're not going to want to stop looking at every piece of architecture or every amazing Garden. We started at the Gulliver's Park which was fun and Light and perfect if you have kids. But you can also start at the other end of the giant complex. These Sunset was obviously contributing to how amazing it looked. But every piece of architecture was so perfectly paired with nature and pools of water and fountains that I would spend every day they're taking a walk if I could. I wish I had more photos on my phone to show you but if you are going to Valencia plan to spend at least a few hours here if you don't have time to go inside each of the many different buildings be at the planetarium the science museum or the Opera House.

  • Really nice place. It’s one of Valencia’s icons and worth the visit. You’ll find that during the warmer days there are some water activities to do in the two pools. Best to visit during spring time. If it’s summer go early moriming before 10Am or after 8 pm otherwise it’s very hot! A good free activity to walk around.

  • We did not go in but just walked on outside and it was really beautiful to be in this place. Start from one end and walk all the way to other and enjoy a quick feet dip in the cold water. It is a definitely go place in Valencia.

  • Very nice place to visit. Huge buildings with fantastic architecture. All the area is very charming with enchanting colours. I didn't enter in the museums, I just stayed outside to enjoy the pleasent atmosphere around this modern complex. I suggest to go during the sunset and after dark in order to admire the light show in the sky and in the water reflection.

  • Didn't go inside but saw it and hung out outside this building. There's a garden with palm trees and walking paths if you go up the stairs (see picture). I loved it so much I came back the next morning on my run to stretch and do some yoga in the garden. The view of the "eye" building itself is pretty great! Almost feels like a religious place with the clear turquoise water and ceramic tiles walkways and benches surrounding the water. Very nice and calm in the morning.
