Valletta Waterfront - Review

Valletta in the island country of Malta certainly has some amazing views of the harbor on offer. And the Valetta waterfront is renowned the world over as a sunny and glorious tourist destination to be reckoned with. Hence going to Malta and not seeing its lovely picturesque waterfront would be a real shame.

Located in the area called Floriana, this glorious waterfront stretches on for miles and while on one hand you will see the deep blue sea, on the other you can see the old city. Charming bars and restaurant dot the area. It is a charming setting from an evening walk or a refreshing drink with friends. The colourful shops and stores look especially brilliant when lit up at night.

  • Hard Rock Bar Valletta was our second Hard Rock of our short trip to Malta. After a full day of wandering around the city we needed a well earned meal and Hard Rock is always our go-to place. We were seated inside straight away but opted to go outside as it was far too hot inside (no aircon). We quickly ordered our usual meals and drinks and waited a short while for them to arrive. The meal was exactly as you would expect, great burger, strong cocktails and the hosts were friendly and chatty. Overall one of the better Hard Rocks we have visited over the years so thank you!

  • A very nice restaurant which is located in the middle of the Valletta Waterfront. It has inside and outside seating. The inside is very well designed and have on displayed musical accessorisles from the rock world. The food is very good and the staff made sure that everything was fine and that we were having fun.

  • The lady in the store was really helpful and nice. The cafe workers on the other hand were rude,no service. They refused to allow us to sit inside. Had to sit outside, then we were ignored until we got up and found our own menus. Sat for 20 minutes without one contact with staff, who were busy chatting with friend. We walked out. We found Hard Rock’s in 7 of our stops in Europe, this was by far the worst Very is unprofessional!!!

  • Great cafe. The burger was delicious and the staff went over their way to make sure we are comfortable and that everything is to our liking. Great selection of drinks too.

  • Visited Hardrock a couple of times in the past months and I have mixed feelings about the place as either my experience would be a fantastic one or else the total opposite of fantastic. To elaborate, during one of my experiences there, I had some of the best food I had eaten from a restaurant in some time, followed by the best desert on the island and the service was great and with a smile. About a week later, I revisited and I was served cold food, dirty beer glasses and a very bad service. Prices aren't that cheap compared with nearby restaurants. Would I revisit? Yes I would. Reason: Im an optimistic guy and I think that there will be an improvement.
