If you are planning on visiting the Nirar Dam, you will have to travel through a dense forest and a twisty forest road, which is an attraction in itself. This dam is located at 15 kilometres from Valparai and is a popular tourist destination. The Nirar Dam was constructed with a purpose of hydroelectricity production and irrigation purpose.
