English Bay, Vancouver Reviews
English Bay Beach and the adjacent community are located close to downtown. It is one of nine beaches near the downtown area-- but is, by far the most visited/used. The "seawall" borders this beach... and brings many of the walkers, cyclists and in line skaters to the beach. The beach also hosts many events, including the "Festival of Lights" (a two week offshore fireworks display which is the largest in the world), the "Pride Parade" and the annual winter "Polar Bear swim". On a hot day it is a definite "Must See"! I hope that this Review has been helpful.
Connecting from the Stanley park, if you’re on bike or on foot, you’ll get here via the second beach route. It’s a really pretty place and has some really good places to eat around. Has Cactus Club Cafe right by the water. Starbucks and Marble Slab Creamery right across the road. On major days like the Canada Day, they have fireworks here and that invites huge crowds. I’m sure you’ll love it in the summer.
A very beautiful beach in downtown vancouver. This area is easily accessible by transit. There are also many Iranian and Lebanese restaurants in that area.
Truly the best place to take a stroll
Lovely small dainty beach by Stanley park
