Granville Island - Review
Granville Island isn’t exactly an island. It is more of a Peninsula that is also one of the most popular shopping districts in the city of Vancouver. It is quite easily accessible by land as well as via ferry and is an exciting place to be at in the city.
Shopaholics will find this place to be a piece of paradise. The retail stores of varied types dot the area and make it the ideal place for the fashionista for sure. But there is also a large number of quirky, interesting shops selling unique or handmade items that make great collectibles and souvenirs. The range is astonishing.
With over 70 amazing restaurants, it is also a haven for all the food lovers. You should try out the locally made ale as it is fresh and delicious. If you are neither a foodie nor a shopaholic, you will be able to find a decent theatre scene as well as cinemas here. In short, there is a little bit for everyone.
Though not an island in the truest sense, the Granville Island is still a very exciting place to visit. Several interesting shops, attractions and beautiful views make it a very popular tourist destination city of Canada. As it is an island there are no tickets for Granville Island and it can be visited freely. very interesting place to visit and spend couple of hours with your friends or family. farmer market, so many restaurants of different kinds, good breweries including Granville Island and Red Truck brewery. Live music almost every weekend. house of so many different events such as Vancouver Jazz Festival. scenery and beautiful It's not hard to find a free parking
A good place to spend few hours. Explore art and crafts, hand crafted items and souvenirs. Found parking to be free in most places. Buy fresh farm produce and get a full view of the waterfront scenic location. The best part is it is not very far from downtown. Carry food from home, if on a budget and sit-back and relax while enjoying the artists performing. A must visit place when in Vancouver. Grab a few hand made stuff and gift it to friends and family.
Such a great place to visit. Lots to do, see, buy, and eat! Come early to avoid huge miday crowds. Free three hour parking is a definite bonus. Best on nice weather days and great for children... lots of places for them to play including a Kid's Market. Super fun!
Granville Island is one of those places that when in Vancouver, your have to go. Nice shops (more boutique type) and plenty of food options. A nice area to walk around with family who enjoys looking at different types of food eats.
This is a wonderful place to visit. There's something for everyone, indoors and outdoors. I've never had a problem with parking since there are lots of free and paid parking.
