Hastings Park Racecourse - Review

Opened in 1889, the Hastings Park Racecourse is the city’s longest used sports facility. The races of Thoroughbred horses on the BC Cup Day are the highlight of the year with some of the most gorgeous horses running the grounds. On any other day the place still hosts races that you can bet on and maybe even win!

  • I love this place. Friday night's horse races are super fun and so are the weekend day time ones. The casino is my favourite one it's not too big and not too small it's really nice. I'd highly recommend going here. I don't gamble I go with my bf and I still have lots of fun.

  • Lots of fun to take the kids to see the races. You don't have to gamble but it's easy and fun if you like to do so with convenient machines. There needs to be way more food selection like ice cream and and snacks as well as more variety than the standard kiosk of burgers and hot dogs.

  • We came out for the inaugural Corgi race at Hastings park. The organizers did a fantastic job. Food trucks, ice cream, beer sales, and souvenirs. Free WiFi kept the kid entertained during the down times. Fantastic afternoon. We look forward to coming back to see the Corgi's race again.

  • Vancouver's oldest horse racing track. It was first opened in 1889. Great Canadian Casino is right next to the track. There is no table games at this casino...only slots. The track is a great place to watch horses even if you're not betting. Local horse racing starts from mid-April to mid-October. They also host Hong Kong simulcast racing.

  • Came here for my birthday over the weekend, Belmont Stakes were happening elsewhere, and it seemed a few people had the same idea for their birthday. Everyone had an incredible time, the horses were amazing, the betting was easy, and the drinks were reasonably priced! It was busy but there was more than enough staff on to create a good flow. Most of all, it's so exciting to get dressed up!
