Orpheum Theatre - Review

Orpheum Theatre Vancouver is largest and wonderful theatre in Canada located at 884 Granville Street. The social center of the theatre scene, it is a place worth visiting in the city. The best way to view the theatre is to go for a show or a spectacle and with it being a lively performance venue it wouldn’t be too difficult to find one that suits you.

The rustic, historic theatre has been the pride of Vancouver since 1927 and the brief closure in the interim never harmed its popularity. While the exterior is impressive the interior is simply spectacular and gives off a very old timey vibe even today.  Orpheum Theatre capacity is nearly around 3000 seats.

Do not miss a chance to see a concert here as the acoustics are said to be really good. Even if you don’t intend to do all that it makes sense to see this Natural Historic Site from the outside at least.

  • What a beautiful venue. This theater is absolutely beautiful inside. Located in the downtown Vancouver core. You can buy anything from coffee and tea, too alcoholic beverages and small snacks in the lobby area. The staff are also friendly and helpful. Worth checking this place out, depending on the event taking place

  • I mean, it's the Orpheum, a historical landmark in Vancouver that's extremely well maintained, and one of the few historical venues here. Outside, it's quite unassuming, but inside, it's gorgeous, particularly the theatre. We like to watch shows from the dress circle, though most places provide a good view. To note, it's not a very large stage, but the ambiance offsets the size. The sound quality and clarity are very good, and it's unlikely there will be issues, the staff is professional and will direct and guide on an, as needed basis. Of note, there are a lot of stairs in the Orpheum, and sometimes you just don't want to deal with it, haha. The washrooms are very large, and getting in and out of the theatre is easy, and convenient, the only unfortunate bit is having to deal with the Granville strip after an evening show. Also, parking can be difficult at times.

  • The Orpheum is a beautiful old theatre in the heart of the liveliest area of downtown Vancouver. It is well maintained, the seats are very comfortable and the sound quality is always excellent. PARKING: There is reasonably priced parking in the VSO underground lot. There are other places nearby that offer outdoor and underground parking. RESTAURANTS: There are several places to eat in the area and I honestly can't recommend any of these unless you just want to eat bar food and drink (which is a lot of fun too).

  • Always an amazing visit each time I go. Service was impeccable as usual. Thank you for another wonderful evening in the famed Orpheum!

  • I watched a debate about belief systems here. I showed up an hour late and received very quick and helpful service to find my seat. The audio and lighting was perfect for the whole time I was there. My seat was comfortable enough. The mass exit was not too bad.
