Orpheum Theatre Vancouver is largest and wonderful theatre in Canada located at 884 Granville Street. The social center of the theatre scene, it is a place worth visiting in the city. The best way to view the theatre is to go for a show or a spectacle and with it being a lively performance venue it wouldn’t be too difficult to find one that suits you.

The rustic, historic theatre has been the pride of Vancouver since 1927 and the brief closure in the interim never harmed its popularity. While the exterior is impressive the interior is simply spectacular and gives off a very old timey vibe even today.  Orpheum Theatre capacity is nearly around 3000 seats.

Do not miss a chance to see a concert here as the acoustics are said to be really good. Even if you don’t intend to do all that it makes sense to see this Natural Historic Site from the outside at least.

  • We have attended many events at this beautiful old theatre. It is one of the best venues in a city with several great theatres! The lobby areas are extensive, well decorated and have many historic theatre items. The auditorium is stunning, with great sound, comfortable seats and wonderful visual appeal. Cannot go wrong here.

  • Stunning concert location. The architecture and decor give a regal feel that makes your trip to see a show that little bit more special. Clean and well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. Have seen 2 shows here - one with a modern artist and one with a more traditional orchestra and thoroughly enjoyed both.

  • Beautiful old building. They put up a fun event around their showing of Star Wars: A New Hope. Had people from the 501st Legion, in their Costumes around for photo ops. The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra did a wonderful job of performing the soundtrack. All in all a fantastic experience and a fun evening out at the Orpheum.

  • Such a beautiful venue. Unlike any on Granville. It’s classy and any seat is a great seat! Have seen artists with big voices here and it compliments them always

  • we went to see a stand up comedy and we took our 2 year old. The event planner charged us full price for a seat for our child and said it was Orpheum policy. I think it is not right. she does not understand the show to enjoy it and she could have been in our lap.
