Known for its popular summer fair, amusement park and an arena that hosts some of the best live shows in the city, the PNE - Pacific National Exhibition is one of the best places to spend some quality time with family and friends.
The fair is catered more towards children with carousals, fun rides, food, performances, shops and fireworks that still are the highlight of the place. The memorial dedicated to 29th (Tobin's Tigers) Canadian Infantry Battalion is a humble memory of the war history of the Canada.

Best PNE yet!! (I've only been to the last three mind you) Let me elaborate, this year those with viable ID could get a wristband and be allowed to drink beer or coolers CASUALLY everywhere! *except playgrounds mostly Awesome addition! The live band performances were really fun and ribs were amazing once again. Would like to see better variation in food as usual and some new events, but it was a good PNE this year for me.
"The PNE was so much better when I was a kid". I hear that all the time and have been guilty of saying that myself. Although every year the PNE seems to have a little less allure, many things have improved since I was young. Better food quality and variety. More and better live music and other entertainment. And this year - finally - you can buy beer (even craft beer!) and wine from many different vendors AND ACTUALLY WALK AROUND THE FAIRGROUNDS WITH IT. Welcome to the 21st century! What's missing from the PNE though is any of the magic or sense of wonder that it seemed to have in the 70's and 80's. Sad.
The PNE forum is quite small, but excellent for all kind of meetings, or sellings. I went there for a skiing sell, and the place was very good for that. You can have stands and at least 500 people in there without a problem.
PNE. haven' t attended the PNE for a number of years - so we knew it was time to make the visit..I liked the layout of the park - rides were to to NE - an awesome selection of fast foods and Beaver Tails to be had - fuelling piano in the beer garden was perfect addition of live entertainment- magic show was well done and of course the pig and duck races as cute as ever.. we bought some items in the home show area and all in all had a great day..after all the Spice of Life is doing those things you haven' t done for while !
Requiring non-Canadians to pick up their tickets at the box office sucked because the line for pick up was 20 minutes long, even an hour after the show started. It was also hard to find the Forum the first time going (I thought the show would be at the Agrodome) but overall I liked the venue. Not too crowded and even had bleacher seating since it's an old sports arena.
