Sunset Beach - Review
False Creek doesn’t look better than from the Sunset beach- a low profile attraction in the city with a shore that cuts into the water in innumerable curves. The place is perfect if you don’t like touristy places and want the beach experience with a little less crowd around.
Unpack a picnic basket here and you are guaranteed a fabulous time with a stunning view and peaceful ambience. A dip in the creek water completes the visit.

Sunset Beach, Vancouver Reviews
The beach is great and much quieter than English bay. There’s a side to sit and enjoy the view, where most people go, and also a side that faces the Planetarium which is almost always empty. Great for kids to play. The concession is close which is convenient.
Beautiful views. Was one of my favorite spots for a picnic or watching the Celebration of Light but the Canada goose population has continued to grow and they have left there mark. Poop everywhere. Still nice but take either a blanket or beach mat to sit on.
This is one of my favorite beaches in Van. Grassy area as well as sand on an intimate little beach. Not too busy. People playing street hockey. Nice food kiosk and bathrooms. I love this spot.
The absolute best place to catch the sunset! A great place to have dinner, catch up with friends or read a book. This is why I love Vancouver
I went for 420 and didn’t get to see the beach and nice grassy areas. It was packed, and there was a stage and tons and tons of booths. It was a fantastic event to experience. I was told the city laid down some turf or something to protect the grass. There was a lot of cloud no surprise but the people were friendly and it only rained for a short while but it was hardly noticeable.
