The Famous Warehouse, Vancouver Reviews
Our one is experience with this place was great. The waitress was super fast serving many tables at once. The food was tasty and a good portion. Can't complaint about anything and hope our second visit will be as good. PS you can buy food for poor/homeless people. Since all meals cost 5,95$, this sounds like a great initiative.
Was really excited about trying out this place after my boyfriend told me he loved it there when he was younger so I (and him) are both pretty disappointed. I don't usually leave reviews but the people behind us got tired of it too. Waited over an hour in line and saw multiple people walking out but the people ahead of us weren't seated for another 20 minutes. When we were seated at a table it wasn't wiped down and when it came to food we waited far too long for it (probably 30-40 minutes just for my dish alone). People that were behind us in line got their food first. The location isn't that big so it's a pretty ridiculous wait time. They gave my boyfriend's food to a different person, said it'd only take a while for his to arrive, and didn't even come by the time I finished eating mine; he ended up just cancelling his order because it was taking forever and we hadn't eaten that day so we paid and left. I got the mushroom burger in lettuce wraps: burger was small and tasted like a lower version of a school lunch and the lettuce was browning, the salad that came with it was overdressed and soggy; ended up going somewhere else to eat with not much of a price difference and the quality was a whole lot higher. Overall a really frustrating experience, was truly hoping for it to be better :/
Cheap good food. However, the service is spotty. Sometimes it's. Other times it's unacceptable. On one occasion the food took much a long time to come (longer than normal) and they messed up my order. I decided to give a smaller tip becuase of the bad service. The waitress cussed at me for giving a small tip. I'll remember what she said to me for the rest of my life. She told me, in an irritated tone, "Don't you know how the service industry works." Yes, I know how it works
I am really upset regarding a $15.49 service charge charged to us for a table of 4. We did not notice this service charge when settling our bill. I expect a service charge for a table of 8 people or more but not for a table of 4 people. We proceeded to tip our server a fair amount on top of the service charge. We had a great time but this has left us disappointed and feel ripped off. I have called and left a message, I hope someone does good by returning my call and our money.
If there isn't a line it's worth definitely going. If you want to keep costs low, don't order any drinks with your food, no alcohol or soda. The food is always good here especially for the price it can't be beat. The restaurant itself is really cool to see inside as well
