The Famous Warehouse is located on the busiest street Granville St. Downtown. It’s a small bar and all the food here are $4.95, which was super cheap. Because of this, this place is always busy, has a super big line up around lunch and dinner time. People came here, had a glass of beer or wine and $5 dollar food. Food here is very tasty, which is much better than other bars. Because of many people here, the food came so slow. People have to wait for their food more than half hour sometimes. This place has very nice background music too. Really great place to go.
The bartender here was extremely well versed in recognizing possible signs for others who were overstepping their bounds. He made me feel safe in an environment who would have other wise been ignored. I would definitely come here again and recommend It to my female friends.
I've always been a fan of Warehouse in Toronto. You can't go wrong coming here. Each dish is $4.95 so you can order several and share with your friends or be greedy and eat it all to yourself. The food tastes great and it's a fun environment.
The Warehouse needs a new server. I went in on May 4th at around 2:45(mind you this is a pretty slow time -- I've worked in the food industry myself), and right off the bat I had the rudest interaction with the waitress. She told me and my friend to come inside and I asked if we could sit outside and she huffed and said "I'll clean it." in a very rude and monotone voice. We ordered our food, and at this point I wanted a drink. I asked her if we could take a look at the drink menu (which, she forgot to bring out.) and it took her a solid 10 minutes to get the menu. I ordered my drink and I had to ask her if she could take the menu away and that's when she got extremely stubborn and just not pleasant at all. She kept ignoring me, my friend, and this man beside us except to bring out his food and take his empty cups away. I've been to the Warehouse many times and I've had nothing but great interactions with the servers but this girl is the rudest person I have EVER met in my life.. Our food finally comes, and this part is crucial: I have been going to the Warehouse for 6 years. It's good, it's cheap, and it's in a convenient location. I ordered the Mac and Cheese which is the only thing I have been getting for the past 6 years, so I know how big the portion size is and what the server tells you when they put your plate down. She basically threw the plate down and walked away. She didn't tell me that the top plate was hot, she didn't warn me that the food was hot. Nothing. I could have seriously gotten injured if I was a new customer. The food I got was NOT up to par. Attached is a picture of the plate I got... I was able to see the plate underneath. The man at the table across from me got a plate FULL of food. I complained to the manager who said my bill was covered but somehow attempted to justify her actions whilst saying she's not justifying her actions whatsoever. Long story short: If you get a server here who has short black hair and a lot of tattoos, ask for a new one unless you want to leave extremely displeased and angry.
Amazing staff. Cheap drinks. Great $5 food. Awesome hip hop/r&b/rap tunes. Amazing!
