The Keg Steakhouse Bar, Vancouver Reviews
I have been here twice and both times the staff was extremely pleasant. They are always on point, super nice, and very helpful with good information regarding what they serve. As far as the food/price goes is why I give it a 3 instead of a 4. The food is good but I was expecting just a little bit better based on the style of restaurant it comes off as. Their prime rib was said to be their best thing and it was good but a little drier than I was expecting, non med rare, and wasn't marbled. Again, service is stellar and I wish I could give it a 4 but the prices for the food just left me a little bit wishing for a bit more. It's worth a try and maybe you will like it a bit more. Not bad at all, wish I could give it 4.
I first came here to this location during dine out Vancouver. At the time I gave it a relatively poor review. I came back here a few months later and it looks like the quality of the food here has really elevated. The starter bread was freshly baked and was surprisingly good. We had the prime rib and the lamb rack. The prime rib was a perfect medium rare, juicy and tender. The twice baked potato on the side was delicious, but the green beans were a bit tough. My lamb rack was delicious as well. I ordered it medium and it was exactly that. No gamyness whatsoever. Vegetable hash had a nice texture to it. For desert we had the Billy miner pie - if you like almonds, you'll love this pie. Service was also fantastic.
Amazing restaurant! Just came here with my gf after we did a good workout at the YMCA and we had the steak and lobster to start our summer and Bdays off and absolutely amazing! Steak was perfectly cooked. Lobster was so fresh and the service was phenomenal. We will definitely be coming back. Cheers all!
Staff was busy but they were very kind and helpful. Prime rib was cooked just right and tasted rich. However other menus were just so-so despite their price.
Staff is fantastic. Have always loved the Keg in the past but this one time we had steak that was tough as nails. So not sure what happened.
