Twisted Fork Bistro, Vancouver Reviews
We were lucky and only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table of 5. Service was great, our water pitcher was never empty. Food was delicious! The sourdough bread is fantastic and the brunch was well done. The eggs for the eggs Benny weren't runny though which I found strange.
The food here is divine! Not too many options to choose from but the options that are there look amazing which makes it very hard to choose. I opted for the baked eggs which I think was the right choice as the meal was AMAZING. The coffee is delivered to you in a french press which is big enough for three cups worth! The servers are also very friendly and helpful and even though this place has a huge wait list they don't try to rush you out the door. Everything is the same price which makes it nice and easy when it comes time to split the bill.
Fresh press coffee. Friendly staff. Care and attention to the food. Home made bread. My first time here and it was a great experience. It's downtown so prices are higher, but for exploring new places. It was fantastic.
Brunch every day! Best to go mid-week as this place is very popular on weekends if you don't want to be on a waitlist. Small venue, so be advised for long waits if your party is more than 4. I enjoy going here solo! I've visited in the weekend and middle of the week, and feel like the food quality is best when they're not slammed. Food is savory and well prepared/presented. Coffee is served via french press and appropriately selected and ground for this method of service, so good! They do a wickedly good Caesar with red wine, if you're a fan of the drink you should really give theirs a try. Service staff are professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt. When visiting friends wany brunch, this is my go-to recommendation!
What a delightful experience! The owner, Michael, and our server, Pamela, were personable, funny, and the food was A+. We ordered the asiago scones (and they came with a freshly made pineapple jam) and the scrambled eggs. The latter had basil, spinach, tomato, (and I don't know what else in terms of seasonings) in the scramble, and it was wonderful. The plate included thickly sliced, made at the restaurant, sour dough bread with a strawberry vanilla jam (also, made by the owner-chef, Cory), a hash brown patty (crispy crust and soft on the inside), cooked spinach (mmmm, garlic and other seasonings), and fried tomatoes. If we lived in the neighborhood, we'd come here all the time. We sat at the bar, so we got to watch the executive chef cooking on the line and we were able to ask lots of questions of the owner and servers. The atmosphere is homey and the interior design is eclectic and fun with a beautiful, high ceiling. Wow!
