Twisted Fork Bistro, Vancouver Reviews
Nice ambiance and staff, the food looks good, but my french toast was more like a banana sandwich with a huge amount of whipped cream. Not sure if the bread touched any eggs at all, and one ounce of maple syrup is not enough, especially with the dry bread. My wife ordered the Benny and she thought the bread was too thick and should have been toasted, but otherwise was great. She did get a fruit cup instead of the beans.
This became my ‘go to’ breakfast restaurant in Vancouver! Loved having my own plunger of coffee at the table. The breakfast portions are huge and home made hollendaise sauce is always a winner! Great menu and it was accompanied by friendly service. Once the service staff knew I was a traveller, they took the time to make me feel welcome by having a chat about my impressions of Canada and Canadian people. Really enjoyed it here !
Timing is key when you go here. You can be on the wait-list for an hour or you can walk right in. We waited for a bout 5 minutes and set at the bar. Food is expensive for what you're getting but as someone who enjoys bigger portions, I was full at the end of our brunch. I do enjoy their French Press as well. i wish they still had dinner service. I miss their mussels.
This is a popular brunch place in Vancouver. It means if you don’t want to wait you must wake up early. The food is amazing and service great. They have a really good coffee which I really appreciate. The restaurant is cosy, really comfy. I’ll come back soon !
The food was very good and the service was exceptional. I appreciated having my own French press of coffee and was able to have it just the way I like it. The eggs Benny was fantastic, the home made hollindaise sauce was perfect, and the portions are generous. Will go again!
