Yaletown Brewing Co & Restaurant, Vancouver Reviews
Went for brunch. Loved their pitcher of mimosa - it's nice to see breakfast restaurants offering that option. I had the gorgonzola omelette that had nice flavours but I very strange texture. I think it needed something crunchy to create a balance. Also, some of the coolest washrooms are right here. The music and decor give you a nice 20s vibe
Came here for an anniversary dinner with my boyfriend. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere of this place was seriously great, upbeat and fun, but not obnoxious with club music like some of the restaurants next door. The food was wonderful, we ordered a pesto pasta and an eggplant pasta dish, their broccoli rabe side, and calamari. Everything was seriously delicious! I'll be back. One star off because they have no dairy free or gluten free desserts which sucked.
Horrible service. As we got in, a waiter told us to seat ourselves anywhere we want. Once we sat down at a table a hostess approchaed us starting that the table reserved and we need to immediately vacate the table. Further we proceeded to a different table that was vacant at a time. The same hostess told us that it is also reserved. As an alternative the hostess offered us a table on a patio with a temperature outside +8. We were at the venue for about 15 minutes trying to find the table. All we got from the service stuff is the attitude.
Dined here twice. Once with family and friends, the second time by myself. On both occasions, the atmosphere and service were excellent (the playlist was was my kind of music, a big plus). Started the evening with a couple of gin & tonics (house gin) to slide comfortably into the menu. The food was very enjoyable and combined with the atmosphere, made for a very relaxing and pleasurable evening. Also, next to the distillery is a shop for off sales of the different spirits they make.
Had a great time here on a slow Tuesday night. The bartender spent a bunch of time explaining what all they distill and helping us pick cocktails, even pouring us mini-shots of several of their gin varieties so we could compare. I left a good tip (it was well deserved), and he caught us at the door and demanded we all do a shot of one of the few things we hadn't yet tried. Tons of fun.
