The Ile of Arz is a collection of nine islands located just 6kms to the southwest Vannes. Frequent cruise trips from the city make the island easily accessible. The island comprises of a church, two priories, farms and mills. The low population of this place makes it a very calm and joyful experience to walk around and just look at beautiful things instead of engaging them. Great place to go with your family if you need a break from exertion.

 Highlights include:

• The priory of Notre Dame that was once a duke’s manor who then gave it over to the peasants to use and develop. Now it is both, a town hall and school.
• Kemoel manor- started as a priory, homed a family of warriors, became an algae factory, then a farm and finally a manor in 1976.
• The mill of Berno is a watermill that was initially built in the 11th century. It stood the test of time and was recently renovated to become functional again.
