Chateau De Suscinio, Vannes Reviews

  • Amazing gem of a middle age castle nestled near the (french) south brittany shore. The restoration work is amazing, with expectedly - and hopefully - more to come. The rooms are grandiose, and the time you'll spend there will truly be a voyage in the past. For families, there is a really neat little booklet for the children to complete by following clues during the visit. Great touch! Wholeheartedly recommend!

  • Very interesting medieval castle with nice panorama over the ocean. Beautifully restored with one side restored to the old glory while the other side of the castle is restored with metal walkways which give an interesting view of the architectural structure of the building.

  • This is great. Reasonably priced entry, prince/princess dress up along the route through the castle rooms to break up the history for the kids. Fantastic presentation of exhibits. Everything written in English and French for visitors (and Breton for curiosity value). Spent a few hours here on a rainy day and very memorable for the kids. Coffee available at end but no coffee shop/nowhere to drink it if raining (if sunny can eat/drink in the castle courtyard). Very special place and you can cycle there on the cycle path.

  • Just a quick visit with a friend.. Well worth seeing.. How the rich and (in)famous lived in the past...

  • Nicely restored castle. Bit empty inside but well worth a visit.
