  • Beautiful view of beach from the cliff. This beach isn't heavily crowded. There are two paths to get to beach from the road, one is via steep steps and other through road. It is advisable to go via road if there are small children or elderly coming with you. There is a 'Bali mandapam' close to the beach, where people offer prayers and flowers for the deceased. Many small shops and restaurants are located at the premises of this beach.

  • Nice beach with high waves. In the mornings it is used for religious activities. It is a family beach with mostly local crowd. Cliff is very close where you find good cafés and restaurants.

  • The water which flows to the beach is supposedly having curing and healing powers as said by the locals here. It's suppose to wash off your karma/ papam.....hence the name. Very scenic beautiful beach with loads of shopping and eateries....North Beach Varkala....is totally rocking...one of my go to destinations
