Great place for a short excursion while visiting Stockholm. The activities offered where really nice for a family outing or a team building event. There's also a restaurant with excellent food.
Great place to visit! Nice hotel and museum. Recommend a visit. You can walk around freely in most areas. No admittance to the area itself. Easily accessible with cable ferry and boat.
We managed to visit it on a sunny day and see the fortress in its full glory. Plenty of space for a child to run around. Cool picnic tables to sit at. Nice loos. £2 to cross for an adult, return.
A true keep, well preserved as it looks like it can withstand several more centuries! Several guns and heavy artillery pieces lay around, well restored too. Access is easy enough with a 2 minutes ferry from the mainland. A highly recommended attraction.
A Citadel which once was a part of the defence of Stockholm. There is a restaurant, a museum and a lot to see on the island and the museum had great information in both Swedish and English about the history of the Swedish military and the citadel. I'm not giving five stars due to the fact that the museum costs extra even though you need to pay for the ferry to get to the island.
