Amirthi Zoological Park - Review
The Amirthi Zoological Park is widely considered as one of the best zoos-cum-nature parks in India. Spread across 25 hectares, tourists can expect to have a lot to do once they arrive. The Amirthi Zoological Park has been operational since 1967 (and is currently in the process of receiving a facelift). Considering its proximity to Vellore city, it is a hotspot for tourists from all over South India. The zoo was once a jungle; however, one half of it was cleared to form a tourist spot while the other half was developed into wildlife sanctuary.
Tourists can indulge in some adventure trekking which leads to a stunning view of a seasonal waterfall. The Amirthi Zoological Park is usually jam-packed with people during the holidays. The animals that one can spot in the park include the famous spotted deer, foxes, pythons and crocodiles, among others. There is also a sizeable bird population which can be found here. A picnic at the park, though cliché-sounding, is a great way to spend the day, because nothing screams rest and relaxation better.

Amirthi Zoological Park, Vellore Reviews
Good green cover. Well paved pathways. Shady place to sit and relax.play area for children. very few collection of animals. No wild animals.
The place : Calm and serene atmosphere. Clean and well maintained pathways. Clean toilets . Better to carry your own drinking water. The Zoo : Don't have too much expectations. The zoo has a few animals, snakes , kites, etc. The deer park is good. A nice place for kids and family. You can spend half a day here.
Good place to roam around. This place has a small water falls as well. But you have to walk more than one kilometer to see the waterfalls. There is a park here. Children will enjoy here for sure. A good place to go with your family.
What a great place, how I missed this place so many years being next to my native... But Nov to Mar is best time.. The new cottage inside forest style resort by Forest dept is excellent place to stay with river flow at background.. peaceful experience
Nice place for college student and for adventure seeking people. Not good for family and couples as it is lonely please. Safety is a concern. Public transport are very less. It is better to go by own vehicle. Or in a group
