  • When you are in a "touristy" place like Venice, if you are not careful you will most likely end up in one of the typical pizzerias that have nothing authentic about them. We had to do a bit of research to find this restaurant and given the restaurant was inside one of the many alleys, took us some time to reach. But we were not disappointed at all- Ai Mercanti has a superb collection of Wine, great food and very helpful staff. Definitely recommend if visiting Venice.

  • Very lovely place with great staff and friendly service. We had two glasses of wine which were great - and sampled two dishes. Duck breast and stuffed ravioli- really high quality and great flavours . Flawless... We’d a great time - good value for money as well.

  • Wow. Incredible squid ink pasta with tender squid, crispy yet light mackerel. The organic prosecco was dry and delicious. Highly recommend. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly, respectful. Just the right amount of attention.

  • Very good place, especially if compared with other restaurants in Venice. By far, the best I found in this town, where food is not so special. A bit too dark (at night it is difficult to appreciate the dishes with eyes), but serves high quality food, well prepared. Probably not for all, but for those who appreciate modern cuisine. Prices are at the expected level for this kind of places.

  • Wow, amazing this place has a positive staff, surprising flavors that are really well assortment, the peanut ice cream was the big finale. Reservations is recommended. You may also miss it hide away in a tiny street. A real gem!
