Ristorante Da Forner, Venice Reviews - Write a Review
If you are tired of crowds, this is a calm location away from the main strip. Sit outside by the quiet canal. Didn't try the food, but the location was exactly what we needed for drinking wine.
Lovely lunch, friendly service and good value
Definitely not worth a visit. Food was not great and the service quite poor, prices too high
4,5 stars would fit better, just because menu variety is a bit limited. Located in a quiet corner of Burano, if you prefer not to be in the main tourist course this is the right spot! Tourist menu has accessible price and, most of all, dishes are loaded at max capacity. Out of tourist menu, prices are quite high, just like the rest of Venice (so nothing excessive compared to other restaurants). Waiters are nice and always smiling, willing to give advices. Definitely worth to eat here.
Get lost in Burano and you will be glad, you found this place away from all the bustle. Wins in location, atmosphere and food. They served me despite it being close to lunch closing time. Once ordered, you can stay until 4pm. Yes, they spoke English but everything is easily communicable with hand gestures ;) Their drink prices are really fair, and there's an extensive seafood menu. Great exterior seating along the canal and colorful landscape. I only ordered the fried seafood platter but it was nicely and lightly fried, not excessively battered, good portioned and fresh. Friendly service as well and quiet atmosphere. Highly recommended for couples, friends and family.
