Church of Santa Maria del Giglio or Chiesa di Santa Maria del Giglio is a Roman Catholic church in Venice. Commonly known as Santa Maria Zobenigo, the church name translates to St. Mary of the Lily. Although it was founded in the 9th century, the church building was rebuilt between 1678 and 1681. The church depicts the Baroque style of architecture but lacks any Christian image statues or reliefs on the exterior. The marble relief sculptures on the exterior are of Antonio Barbaro and his brothers. Stepping inside the church, you will be left awe-inspired by the many paintings and stained glass windows.
