  • Kitschy small neighbourhood ice cream shop open in warm seasons only. Low to average range pricing on frozen treats, slush frozen beverages, blended dairy beverages, ice cream (and non dairy option) frozen desserts, as well as crepes and waffles. There are lots of options, and something for all tastes should be easy enough to find among the many treats on offer. They have about 20 flavors (2 ice cream display cases) of cow's milk hard ice cream (a local quebec brand) sold by the scoop ($2 TX includes for 1 scoop), in a cup or on a cone, as well as a third case with a varying selection of non dairy options (dairy-free fruit sorbets and dairy substitute ice creams - usually soy), and/or some adventurous flavors of hand-made-in-store organic hard ice cream and sorbet limited offerings.(The organic, dairy free, Coconut/lime/ginger sorbet is a favourite of mine) They also have a large variety of all the standard soft serve style desserts generally available in ice cream shops, with either vanilla, chocolate (or both, swirled) soft ice cream as their base. Simple soft ice cream cones (plain, or dipped in on of multiple flavor shells available) ; parfait, sundae, and banana split type composed desserts; milkshakes available in a large list of flavors; the always popular blended desserts of soft ice cream + add-ins selections (cookie pieces, candies, fruit, nuts, chocolate, etc); and hand made ice cream sandwiches. Quality products, reasonable prices, friendly and acceptably rapid service, located on Verdun's main drag (Wellington Street "Promenade") does keep the place pretty busy on nice days and late into the evening so expect a short wait (

  • Got the eclairs and beaver tail. I definitely will not be buying either of these items again. The pastry for the beaver tail was basically frozen naan bread with your choice of topping on top of which the bread was stale. Went with the apple sauce. It didn't taste good at all and it was served cold. The eclair pastry also came from frozen so much so that There was still ice on it when served. I still want to try the crepes before I write them off my list. They do have good ice cream though. The 3 stars are basically for the ice cream.
