This sanctuary is part of ‘Cinque Terre Sanctuaries’ - Santuario di Nostra Signora di Montenero (shrine of Our Lady of Montenero) in Riomaggiore, the Santuario di Nostra Signora della Salute (the shrine of Our Lady of Health) in Manarola, the Santuario di Nostra Signora delle Grazie (the shrine of Our Lady of Grace) in Corniglia and the Santuario della Madonna di Soviore (the sanctuary of Our Lady of Soviore) in Monterosso. Historical facts say that this sanctuary belongs to the eleventh century and it was built on an existing cemetery. In 14th century, the sanctuary was renovated and was transformed into a Latin cross. However, you can still see the Romanesque façade of the sanctuary.
