Giardino Giusti - Review

Owned by Giusti family this garden is the finest example of Italian garden. The adjoining palace was built in 16th century and the garden was planted in the year 1580 regarded as most beautiful of them all!

The garden is a beautiful landscaping of hedge maze, parterre and terraces. There are a couple of books giving out information on the kind of flowers planted at the garden, paradiso de' Fiori by Francesco Pona is one of the most renowned.

This garden is a good change from the humdrum of city and is very well structured. Designed with fountains and statues one of the most talked about is Maskeron; located at the highest point of the garden.

  • Make sure to take big spray. Beautiful gardens and worth your time. Wonderful photos opportunity of old town skyline.

  • The first day of visiting Verona we didn't had a chance to visit Giardino Giusti because we came too late (they are open till 18h). So we came first thing in the morning the other day! The gardens are beautiful, with a lot of secret passages, stairs and paths! In the price to the park you also get to visit the house where the family Giusti lived. It is a great piece of history and art and a great opportunity to rest from the city!

  • Nice enough garden but have been to many more interesting and more accessible ones. Not many flowers in July and the maze hedge was waist height meaning no chance of getting lost. Surprisingly no cafe or water fountain. Ok for an hour's potter but a bit expensive.

  • A peaceful and well maintained Roman garden. There's a trail that leads to a hill top overlooking the city. Whilst picnics aren't allowed, I would recommend to bring a book as its makes for a perfect reading spot.

  • Peaceful and interesting garden with along history, and views of Verona from the high part. A nice maze...
