Second Vaud Canton Art Museum, the Musée Jenisch Vevey gathered throughout its significant history collections of works on paper - prints and drawings from all periods - which constitute more than 95 percent of its funds. These are as follows: Drawings (7000), prints (30,000) and paintings (1000).
In 1968, an important René Legacy Cérenville enriched the heritage of more than 150 ancient drawings, including several rare sheets of famous Italian artists of the Renaissance. Twenty years later, the Cantonal Engraving Office stood at Vevey, at the height of the Foundation William Cuendet & Atelier Saint-Prex, Professor Decker printed the Funds and collections of the State of Vaud (constituted by the Musée de l'Elysée). Soon joined by City prints collections of Vevey, the Alexis Forel Museum Association, the Foundation Pierre Aubert and Planque Foundation, he collected more than 30,000 pieces. Some years before, the Oskar Kokoschka Foundation filed its funds in Vevey, including nearly 1,200 prints and several hundred drawings by the Austrian artists. In 2007, a collector in Vevey left a set of 400 drawings of the eighteenth century French and Italian. Finally, in 2014, Mr Rudolf Schindler gave 632 drawings by Ferdinand Hodler at the museum. One of the best things about this museum is that it is fully accessible for disabled people and strollers. A ramp is located at the rear of the building, street side of the Commons.
