About Parco Querini , Vicenza

This is a green park located in the heart of the city and thus often referred to as the “green lungs of the city”. It is surrounded by a large grove of plants. The garden gets its named from the Palace Capra Querini of which this was the garden. This was opened publicly in 2010 and is an example of the flood damage in Vicenza.

The park is also known as a Science Park given the number of rare and exotic plant and herb species conserved here. Also attractive is the lake full of colorful fishes. It is a perfect afternoon destination with its soft grass and shady trees.

Parco Querini , Vicenza Reviews - Write a Review

  • Very nice park, even if not very large for international standard. But very italian

  • An unexpected but fantastic surprise. It's a pretty park, so we were expecting to wander in and wander out again, another bit of attractive greenery. However, the first thing we saw as we wandered in were some extremely cute baby rabbits hopping towards us. There are loads of them! They've been carefully set up on an island (complete with Arcadian temple), surrounded by a moat, from where they've spread out across the park. Brilliant.

  • Good place to study and sunbathe.. perfect location to make new friends.. top!

  • Can I just say... bunnies! I picked this park to walk to one day while killing time in Vicenza. My husband goes there for work and I have to fill my days (no sympathy needed. how lucky am I?!) I was so surprised to find this lovely, well maintained city park filled with rabbits! Big rabbits, all colors of rabbits, geese and ducks too... but it is the rabbits that are surprising. Kids of all ages will love it. A great break from all the history and majestic buildings of Vicenza.

  • One of my favorite parks. Great for walking during lunch break or relaxing with a book on the weekends. They have lots of roosters and rabbits walking around as well.
