Located in the Landstrasse district of Vienna, the cemetery of St. Marx is a quaint place that you can visit during quiet hours. This cemetery houses the unmarked burial of the famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This cemetery was opened in 1784 after a decree by Emperor Joseph II according to which further burials in cemeteries within the outer walls of the city of Vienna were not allowed. Cemetery Of St. Marx, Vienna Reviews - Write a Review
Not a very lively place. Mozart's grave was under construction, which seems ironic.
This cemetery can be a real piece of impression, especially for a non-european. Just make sure you're visiting the (suppositional) Mozart's grave.
