What you will see as Danaupark today was actually created as a result of the auspices of the 1964 Vienna International Garden Festival. Created between 1963 and 1964, this park stretches the area between the Danube and the Old Danube i.e between the centre of Vienna and the districts of Floridsdorf and Donaustadt. Designed by Alfred Auer, this park is multiple sided and hosts a number of exhibitions and theme gardens. Must visit sections here are: a rose garden, a lily garden, a nation´s garden, a Paracelsus herb garden, and a moorland garden. Do visit this park for a recreational time in Vienna!

  • Nice place to visit. Clean and Tidy, catch some fresh air. Also has a playground + many activities for old and young.

  • Amazing park even though we did not get to see the scenery as we visited this park in winter. The reason why we went to Donau Park was because I read somewhere that they have massive chess set so you can play a game. Yep, as expected it was outdoor and freezing. But nonetheless, it was a great trip. Pro tip: if you plan to go there during winter, wear thick scarf as it’s quite windy there. Pro tip 2: if you’re planning to play chess, it is located on the most left of the park (if you’re coming from the station)

  • Nice park, with easy access and entertainment capabilities. Recommending to try the little train which is passing by the whole park, also the Tower and the green areas for picnik and different outdoor activities! It's great to give it a try just for a side walk or jogging, it's up to you.

  • Well maintained and a lot of green space. But I honestly think there aren't enough trees to hide under on a scorching summer day, and for a city proud of its clean tap water.... I couldn't find any drinking fountains around the park. Thus I can only offer it 4 stars.

  • Great place to rest in Vienna. I imagine that if I would live here I would usually spend some time here on weekends
