Donauturm, Vienna Reviews
I visited here recently for a reservation at the rotating Restaurant at the top of the tower. The food and service in the restaurant were very good and the staff were lovely. The views from the restaurant and from the viewing platforms on the levels below are wonderful. I was there mostly in the evening when it was dark and I was still impressed. There is both indoor and outdoor viewing areas. The tower is a little distance from central Vienna so you’re not too close to many of the famous landmark building in the city, however the views are still amazing and you can still see all of the city spread out below you. There is a fee to visit the viewing platform and it’s worth noting that if you’re going to the restaurant, you still have to pay the entry fee to get in the tower first. One last thing... don’t forget to look up at the ceiling when you’re in the elevator. 😉
A fantastic place to visit! Wonderful views from observation decks and rotating cafe. The food was good, not exceptional. The park area the tower is at is beautiful. We took the little train on the 20 minute trip around the grounds. Good fun!
A cool lift to the top of the tower An excellent view of all the city!! A cool restaurant and coffee shop with a moving round floor that allows you to see all the view without walking! The entrance cost 14.5€ for adult but you can use the ticket as a 3€ voucher for the coffee shop or the restaurant. You better order a place at the tower restaurant before going there, cause it's usually full...
Absolutely exhilarating experience, 252 metres tall, the largest tower in Austria. We had a beautiful schnitzel and goulash in the revolving restaurant and an Aperol spritz of course. The lift has a glass top and the lift shaft is illuminated so that is quite fun. You walk down the stairs to the outside viewing canopy, boy was that windy today, they also have zoom cameras that you can get a photo from. The best views in Vienna. A must.
Nice tower experience! One can see the whole city from the top. Picturesque. A revolving restaurant at the top. A unique experience.
