  • What a beautiful place. Just go and feel it if you like art. It's not one of those boring, long, and tiring museums that can be found in most places. I'm into paintings and enjoyed the scale. Also I loved the fact there were many sofas where me and my mum could have a seat so it was good. I'd love to come back.

  • If you enjoy room after room of more or less clothed female beauties this museum is for you. I enjoyed the architecture and use of colored marble which defines the interior. Symmetric black and white Stone floor tiles are equally stunning. I wish the curators would place the architectural paintings at eye level but over all the exhibit is an amazing collection of old masters who managed to give their female muses eternal fame.

  • Absolutely stunning! Overwhelmed by the collection here! And also by the amazing Austrian art. Try to bring some water and snacks, cause you will easily spend 5 hours here. There is a piece of Vermeer’s, try to find it, it’s such a breathtaking piece of art! :). If you have one day wandering around, don’t miss the museum.

  • The Egyptian and ancient Greek exposition are rich and enlightening. The painting exposition is also extremely interesting. Don’t forget however to take an audio guide at the entrance, without which the experience is drastically diminished. Also expect to spend 1.5 days to see everything in detail (so better bring snacks and drinks with you). The only disappointment is perhaps the restaurant which, despite its breath-taking decoration, lacks tasty food and has rather unfriendly waiters (up to rate exceptions).

  • Great place to visit, this is a must yo know given the variety of pieces you will find. It is a long journey then you need to prioritize the most important themes for you and start in that order. The audioguide helps a lot making your visit more delightful, being there really early at opening is the best option to avoid the tours, you will enjoy more the place.
