Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna Reviews - Write a Review

  • One of the most magnificent museums in Vienna, the Kunsthistorisches offers both amazing collections and an astonishing architecture. From Egyptian mummies to Flemish paintings, this museums fills viewers of all ages and ethnicities with curiosity and wonder. Personal advice, raise your eyes to the ceilings once in a while: they make for a breath-taking sight.

  • The collection of curios that the Habsburgs donated is absolutely amazing. It's what you would have expected to see in the treasury. Countless gorgeous objects. The museum is much more than Egyptian and Roman artifacts.

  • This museum is packed with the most interesting objects and artifacts. The best part of my trip to Vienna. Here are some tips for the visitors: 1. Schedule your visit on a weekday, and start early in the morning. 2. Visiting the Austrian section first helps appreciating the whole museum more. So once you enter the front door, make a left and go half story up. 3. Have water and some food. The cafeteria has absolutely no air conditioning. It is also very expensive and the service is slow.

  • The buildings on all four sides will makenyou feel like you are back in the roman times. Museums are nice and location is great. Easily accessible by tram.

  • Old masters in awesome old school museum. There are very few museums in the world like this. The original 19th century purpose-built museum that had barely changed the basic layout of its collection in all that time. The building is spectacular. The collection huge and impressive. By carefully adding 21st century lighting throughout they show off their treasures at their finest.
