Maria Theresa Plaza is surrounded on three sides by museums and on the fourth the Hapsburg place complex. At the center of the plaza is a statue of the famous 18th century Austrian Empress (1717-1780) on a high stone pedestal. She is surrounded at a lower level by her advisors and generals.
Perfect view. Perfect place to go for a walk. Very nice square and buildings.
Gorgeous place. If you come during winter the whole area will be filled with stores selling food, snacks and Christmas trinkets. Great place to get warmed up with hot wine or eggnogs.
