Built in French Gothic style of architecture, the church of the Minorites is yet another reminiscent from the history of Vienna. This church belongs to the monastic order of the “Minor” or Franciscan monks, from where it gets its name. Constructed in 1350, it is supposed to be one of the oldest churches in Vienna and has also suffered the ravages of time. Its bell tower was damaged during the first Austro-Turkish war after which it wasrebuilt, but then again was destroyed during the second Austro-Turkish war. While you are in the city of Vienna, make it a point to see this church from the pages of antiquity.

  • The last supper replica is amazing and a must see. We also visited a new year's concert which was magical and probably the best thing we experienced in Wien. Definitely go if you have the chance. Bonus is that it is not crowded with tourists :)

  • The church is great from inside. I attended an Austrian Chamber Orchestra concert at Christmas and it was magical. Really loved it.

  • Beautiful Italian church with the copy of mosaic "Last Supper" from Leonardo da Vinci. Service in a church available in Italian language. Concerts of classic music in the evening.

  • One of the numerous jems in Vienna. Especially remarkable is the mosaic replica of DaVinci's Last Supper
