Museum Of Military History, Vienna Reviews - Write a Review
Superb military museum! Amazing collection. Being from Russia a saw plenty of amazing military museums, that's one of the top ones. WW1 collection is very impressive, haven't seen anything similar before. Museum is quite big so either split it on two days or prioritize what you want to see. And the building exterior and interiors are great as well. Highly recommend!
Large and beautiful building inside and out, with wings dedicated to many parts of Austria's military history. Kept neutral and mature. Inexpensive for what is available and if you have things that want to see beforehand, then you will spend hours there.
Much bigger than I thought! Prepare to spend half of your day here if you plan to visit. The museum displays the history of the Habsburg empire from the very early days and how the European map got shaped through centuries of wars. The building itself is also magnificent. Walkable distance from the train station, don't miss it!
Really well put together museum with lots to see both on the grounds and inside. Just a note, make sure that you get the self-guided tour because all the write-ups are in German and no one will let you know!
They didn't have English translation guide during our visit and part of the WW2 exhibit was closed for some private function. Other than that I enjoyed the historical artifacts. English translation would have made my review 5 stars.
