Boasting the many historical monuments that speak volumes of the Adil Shahi dynasty, the Bijapur Fort is an Indian fort located in the Bijapur city in Karnataka, India. The complex dates back to the 10th – 11th century and houses a fort, a citadel, and other structures that were built by the by the Kalyani Chalukyas. The fort and the citadel were built by Yusuf Adil Shah in 1565 and are built in two concentric circles. Other monuments located within the complex are Jamia Masjid, Ibrahim Rauza, Mehtar Mahal, Barakaman, Malik-e-Maidan, Gagan Mahal, and Sat Manzili.
