The Rajiv Gandhi Park in Vijayawada is a well maintained park set up by the Andhra Government. It is nice place to spend an evening with your family and loved ones. The park is special because it is very popular especially among children. It has a small zoo with quite a few cute animals. It also has a park with replicas of ancient animals and especially dinosaurs. There is a beautiful fountain inside and musical fountain shows are also organized in the evenings. Another attraction that makes the park popular is the horticulture collection. The diverse range of fauna here looks just amazing. The secret behind the good growth of plants is the fertile soil of the Krishna River banks. The park is named after our first Prime Minister Sri Jawaharlal Nehru to honour his role and contribution in the development of our country and for the welfare of its people.

  • Visit on Sundays with family and kids.. nice place to hangout. Other days you cannot much of tolerate this place due to improper activities. Hope you understand.

  • Good place to spend some quality time relishing the greenery in the midst of this bustling city. Not that peaceful in a way, busy roads on the two ends besides being very close to rail tracks leading to Vijayawada railway station(railfans may like trains passing through krishan river- bridge). Overall good place for family/lovers outing. Place needs maintenance, toy train need to be restored to attract more crowd. Parking + entry fee- Rs. 10 each

  • Well didn't expect much before going there and the park did not disappoint. Staff charges whatever they feel like for the somewhat broken rides. Lots of unwanted elements doing obscene acts in the park.

  • needs more maintenance than just trimming the trees. all junk that's not used like the train must either be serviced or done away with. nice view of sunset and prakasam barrage though
