The tower is also an excellent place to enjoy a glorious view of the entire city of Vilnius, thus also making it an ideal place to kick start your journey of touring the Lithuanian capital. Gediminas Tower, Vilnius Reviews

  • Gediminas Castle Tower is a must visit landmark in Lithuania's capital city. With multilingual tour guides happy to help, this makes the exploration of this building even better. With all the important dates if this Castle stated clearly in books that you can buy in the ticket office, you will know more about this historic castle. The walk up to it gives you a clear view of the busy city, even though it is a clear challenge to actually get up. But for the lovely experience I have had there with my family, I am rating Gediminas Castle Tower five stars.

  • If you can possibly manage it, the climb to this tower is well worth the effort. Even if you don't climb the tower itself, the view of Vilnius from its base is still quite nice. We visited around sunset, which gave us the opportunity to see the city in the final moments of sunlight and then appreciate it as the sky grew darker and the surrounding lights came on. Great experience.

  • With a lot of construction going on, one would think that symbol of Vilnius would be easier accessible and with clear directions. But we were approached by tourists few times who thought tower is closed - no clear information, no signs, that you can walk around to the next entrance. 5 Eur fee per person to climb to the top - too much. View is nice, but you can enjoy from the walls, museum is a joke, just random stuff to justify money grab. No WC.

  • Wear comfortable flat shoes, it's a long steep climb up and back down over cobbles. But very worth it, the views are amazing. It's a little difficult to find the way in. You need to head for the river.

  • The short walk up the hill brings you to the tower. The view from the top of the tower is the best way to see the entire city. Definitely worth the hike!
