The Cathedral Square boasts of numerous wonderful sights to see, but nothing is as peculiar as the Magical Brick of Vilnius. The brick/ tile has the word ‘Stebuklas’ printed over it. Stebuklas in Lithuanian means miracle, and it is believed that if someone thinks of a wish while standing over the brick and turns around, their wish will definitely be granted. It might sound silly to some people, but almost all visitors to Vilnius make it a point to visit this particular tile. It is a funny yet pleasant sight to see large number of people turning up at the site and trying their luck to strike a deal with good fortune.

Odd little things like this always attract me.
This simple brick faced to the white cathedral church is really meaningful to the independence of Lithuania. It’s precisely the starting point of a peaceful political demonstration which is later called the Baltic Way. On the 23 August 1989, approximately two million people joined their hands to form a human chain spanning 675.5 kilometres across the three Baltic states – Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
Almost overlooked it. But I made my wish and turned around
Really nice place to visit
A funny place. It's a miracle brik. You may stand on it, make a wish and turn round 360°
