National Museum Of Lithuania - Review

Boasting of some of the finest and oldest artifacts of Lithuanian history, the National Museum of Lithuania in New Arsenal is almost the oldest museum of the country. All the exhibits displayed here are priceless and authenticated by archaeologists. The New Arsenal is located in the Vilnius Castle Complex, in a different section than the Old Arsenal. All of these ancient objects and artifacts provide a very valuable insight into the history of Lithuania and give a very good idea of how life used to be in the medieval era, and even ages dating further back in time.

National Museum Of Lithuania, Vilnius Reviews

  • Love this museum. Nice collection. It’s not so big but got plenty of stuff. Tickets about €3 for adult and kids free. They have got musical instruments, maps of old Lithuania, clothes used to wear and different areas of Lithuania and much more. Must visit if you like history.

  • Its a historical museum of lithuanian history. You can find historical swords, guns and clothes. They have wooden historical handmade works and these are quite beautiful. There are two floors and you can find a huge model of a war on the first floor

  • Pretty poor compared to other museums such near by. Info in both Lithuanian and English which means you can easily understand everything.

  • Not very big museum but I guess it's big for the size of this tiny country. Very interesting exhibitions to learn the history of the culture of Lithuania.

  • We went there with student tickets so it costs only 1.5 euros. I would say it worth the price, the exhibitions are nice and in the top of the building is the view tower from where you can get a nice and close view for the city and the red tower, because we couldn’t make to the red tower due to the reconstruction. Remember to take elevator to the view tower, otherwise there are quite many stairs.
