A visit to Church of Santa Maria de Los Reyes will not only be a spiritual experience but also a treat for people who are interested in history and architecture. The huge church took more than 400 years to be constructed between 12th and 16th century. Therefore, it has distinct architectural features from different time periods. You will be amazed with the gothic polychrome façade of the church, carved with the statues of twelve apostles and Mother Mary. The façade is protected by a portico. Another distinct feature of this church is the heavily ornate altarpiece, designed by the famous sculptor Juan Bazcardo. The church was included in the list of national monuments of Spain in 1931.
