Who wouldn’t love visiting a monastery and a vineyard at the same time? The monastery was founded in 1955 and started selling the wine as recently as 2005. The farmland is used by the monks for growing walnuts, grapes and prunes for a sustainable community. You can visit the reconstruction of the eight-hundred-years-old Chapter House. This House is a Cistercian monastery in Ovila. The building itself is very peaceful and away from all the noise of the city. Koi Pond in the premises makes the atmosphere even more tranquil. You can simply sit near the pond and relax.

Abbey Of New Clairvaux Reviews & Ratings
The Abbey of New Clairvaux is a place where peace pervades. It's an escape from all the havoc life brings. Rooms are available for those who wish to stay for a few days. The vineyard wines available for purchase are great. The public can attend services here and pray the Liturgy of the Hours with the monks, who have dedicated their lives to work and prayer for humanity.
Blessing of the Grapes ceremony today was a unique, rewarding, beautiful experience. We enjoyed every moment including the church tour, delicious wines and food. We are now Wine Club members and will definitely return often with our family. Would love to attend Mass one day soon! Thanks to all who worked so hard & God Bless!
The Blessing of the Grapes event was fantastic. The tour of the church/Abbey is well worth the time, the staff is friendly. Great place to go and I don't even drink wine!
The cloister; an idyllic, secluded area where monks live and tend the earth! Beautiful area with orchards, vineyards, a huge tasting room, museum and gift shop. The abby/church is also available for tours at certain times. We had an excellent tasting of 5 wines, but she also threw in a few surprises because they were open. There were 9 white, 6 red, 2 dessert wines in the for purchase. The wine club looks like a good deal if you want to purchase alot of wine.
A nice surprise a short way off of Hwy 99 down a rustic road. The lane opens up to manicured vineyards, a beautiful new monastery and a tasting room where monks pour you samples of their unique wines.
