Virginia Aquarium And Marine Science Centre, Virginia Beach Reviews
I hadn't been to an aquarium since I was a little girl and figured it would be cool to check this place out while on vacation back in June! The price on just general admission was fair! The lay out of this aquarium is beautiful and very family oriented! So many hands on learning stations for the littles! But also very enjoyable for the entire family. I was amazed but how well educated and enthusiastic the staff was about each exhibit! All of the encloses are spacious and well taken care of. By far the sea turtles were my favorite exhibit! The viewing area is nicely laid out allowing a large crowd to see all at once! I never felt crowded (and I chose one of the hottest days that week so the place was packed). There was also ample parking which is always nice. We walked to the other building where I highly suggest you venture over and see the seals! Over all the experience was fantastic and I loved every bit of the day
Wonderful! We went and did only the aquarium and we spent nearly two hours walking through. We're 25&26 and still enjoyed ourselves. It's clean, cool and very welcoming. If you're unsure of the prices before hand you may have some sticker shock but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Would recommend
Great aquarium! Interactive, kid-friendly exhibits that teach in-depth information. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff strategically located throughout the aquarium tour. Nice IMAX theater and snack bar. Picture packages seem pricey.
I have enjoyed The Virginia Aquarium since it opened in 2009. I am lucky to live near it. All 3 of my children have grown into adults with pictures & good memories of our visits. It is a wonderful place. They teach you about all of the marine life in the area as well as the importance of how to recycle & reduce your carbon footprint. Also, learn about Sensible Seafood. You'll be glad you did. So, GO! ENJOY & LEARN!
What a fantastic aquarium, expecting something on a smaller scale . This place is "Huge", expect to stay here least two hours. Well maintained and staff super friendly. We had one incident when my Grandson took a spill and hit his little head. Staff came over and was very helpful settling him down. And a quick shot out to the volunteers, like Howard who helps out on Tuesdays. Thank you for service to this wonderful aquarium. There are also outdoor activities which require a harness for safety.
