A museum in a 91 m long submarine itself sounds exhilarating but on entering this historically important naval ship one is left mesmerized with the information and objects on display. One of the must-visit tourist places in Vishakhapatnam, just stepping into the museum gives a feel of how it must have been to stay and fight in this mammoth ship. Asia’s only sub-marine museum, this place is definitely worth your time. A gem of Vizag tourism!

Sub-marine Museum, Vishakhapatnam Reviews - Write a Review
A must visit place for Naval/Military enthusiasts. Seeing inside an actual submarine is not possible for most people, so this makes it possible. Well maintained, though some areas are blocked out like the conning tower. You really appreciate submariners after the visit. Located on RK beach, it is easily accessible. There is a small shop that sells Naval curios. A TU 142M reconnaissance aircraft exhibit is coming up on the outside of the road. So both the air and undersea domains are represented.
Great museum. Entry fee 40/- each + camera fees. Long queue for ticket. Inside the demonstrators complete very fast and do not allow to stand for longer time. But it is indeed great place. One gets view of the inside structure, technology, tough life, machines etc.
Truly amazing to see a huge weasel which can dive into water loaded with missiles and officers protect our coast's day and night. We also had a chance to walk through just bought a nominal value entry ticket. Very well maintained and protected INS Karsura Submarine Museum.
No doubt the museum is great. But Entry ticket Rs. 40 is too much for only 5min and they charge Rs. 50 for each phone with cam!!! Simply ridiculous. Demonstrators are asking to move very fast. They not allow to observe the things at your own pace. Its not worth of what you are paying.
The glory of the Navy depicted here, you will be really amazed to see this place. The lifestyle of the Navy, in those small bunks, everything cramped to assist them under was really thrilling. Kudos to the Indian Navy.
