Volendam's second most famous church is a Catholic one. It was built in 1860. In addition to being a place of prayer, it is also regularly used for organ concerts. The Volendam Opera Choir holds an annual concert as well. The organ at the church today was built in 1916, though the church only acquired it in 1971. In case there is a service for a celebration, baptism, wedding or funeral, church may be closed to visitors.
