  • What a beautiful and majestic landscape. Great for nature outing for the day. Bring a snack or pic of to go. Beautiful ponds and river for fishing. Great to get away from the city hustle.

  • Let me start off by saying that the cell service was PHENOMENAL!!! Twice as good as what I get at home. Very beautiful and quiet place to visit. Great for a picnic, hiking, or just looking at nature. 10/10 would definitely recommend. Hiked roughly 5 miles when I went, but couldn't find the area where I was when I went with my cousin. Fun for anyone of any age. Safe and family friendly.

  • Ok, this is a really great wildlife refuge. Bring your camera. Pack a lunch. Bring the kids.

  • Youth get to experience prime hunting opportunities at the refuge

  • it's good for south central NC I guess... western NC is where it's at. This part of NC is just so bland and undesirable. But this place puts the best of what that offers together for a very mediocre experience.
