This vacation, plan your visit to the stunning woodlands of High Weald Aonb, Ticehurst, one of the best surviving medieval landscapes in Northern Europe with plenty of manors, fern-clad ravines, farms, sandstone studded hills and ancient routeways. Located in the heart of South East England, this spectacular site is sprawling over an area of 1461 kilometers covering parts of Kent, Surrey and Sussex. Look for the rare species of deer that will be rustling around the bushes, and listen to the 'chack chack' call of the Red Wings and other exotic winter birds. There is so much to explore here including the legendary Ashdown Forest, Bexhill Museum and more.

  • Lovely place. Gardens etc very well kept. Attended a summer show in the grounds.

  • The Ashdown Forest is a diverse and unique habitat in the South of England. There are so many different areas of interest from Nutley Windmill to Pooh Sticks Bridge. Every walk gives fantastic opportunities to explore flora and fauna, views and ancient industry and settlements. A very special and beautiful place to get away from the humdrum, to breathe in and feel alive.

  • How can you review a national park? It's a lovely place.
