Lakeview Park in Port Clinton is one of the best places to visit with kids. There is a tot-lot in the park to keep the kids entertained for hours together. There are a variety of play equipment to suit children of all ages. The park is beautified with many flower bushes. You may walk to the Erie Lake beach and take a stroll with your loved one.
Lakeview Park Reviews & Ratings
This is a wonderful park in Port Clinton! The kids would not stop talking about it and wanting to go! There's picnic tables for eating, 2 shelters with grills, and a TON of playing ground for the kids. The lighthouse in the middle adds a beautiful, nautical touch! You can see Lake Erie across the street so it's an ideal place to take kids.
The park itself is well equipped and beautiful in the main park area. My family's purpose there was to visit the beach. Access to the beach was convenient. However, I definitely felt it needed some serious TLC. There were construction materials in the water, glass, trash, and a lot of dead fish on the shoreline. It seems like the city might want to work on keeping the area clean and more presentable considering it's a reasonably large attraction for the area. The main park has bathrooms and an outdoor shower to wash the sand off, which was nice. Overall, I'd say the kids were entertained but I attribute this to the fact that they were too young to remember previous trips to places like Myrtle Beach.
What a gem! Great park with unique things to play on. Very well maintained park and grounds. I did not visit the restrooms so I cannot comment on them but there were public restrooms available. There are open and covered areas with picnic tables. The play area is phenomenal!! Both kids and adults were playing, having a great time. Free, easily accessable parking as well. Right across from a public beach. The beach was small and a little rocky, but fun to quickly dip your toes in the water. My four year old loved this park and is already asking to go back.
Love the new playground and the kids have so much fun BUT...it doesn't cost that much maybe next year we can get a splash pad put in. I'm sure we could get donations for it. PLEASE AND THANK YOU IN ADVANCE 😁😍💦💦💦🌞🌞🌞
One of the nicest public parks I've ever been to. There are a lot of nautical themed play sets (very appropriate for the area) for kids, a fairly large open field for catch or picnics, and a public restroom. It is also very close to the public beach.
