Sumava National Park is a national park in the south Bohemian regions of the Czech Republic along the border of Germany and Austria. They protected a little inhabited area of the mountain range. Since 1990 it has been a protected biosphere reserve of UNESCO. The national park is home to many endangered species of animals and plants. The national park is criss-crossed with hiking and cycling trails. Sites to look out for are Kasperk Castle and the numerous lakes.
